One can safely assume that if the economy keeps going the way it has and the cost of gas keeps going up (as is the trend during summer months), alternate methods of transportation may have to be utilized. Hauling your bike out of the garage and dusting it off is a cost-effective and eco-friendly option that will allow you to put away those car keys when they aren't absolutely necessary. If you're going to be spending so much time riding your bike during your commute - or maybe you like to ride it for a good workout - there isn't any reason you can't add some personal touches, like say a window box with some of your plants. Think of it as the bike's version of those furry dice hanging from your rear-view mirror.
Or maybe your apartment is quite literally the same size as a cardboard box used to package a new refrigerator and you truly don't have any additional room for a garden (even a square foot one). Either way, this window box is fun, creative and we can pretty much guarantee it's unique (have you ever seen anyone riding a bike with one?).
Follow these introductory instructions and then see the remaining steps after the jump.
