For those of you too young to remember, Calvin and Hobbes was a brilliant comic strip by Bill Watterson that ran from 1985 to 1995. You may know Calvin as the little kid peeing on a Ford logo in the rear window of numerous GM and Dodge pickup trucks.
In any case, Bill Watterson came up with numerous and inventive snowmen for Calvin to craft over the years. Building a snowman is about as environmentally-friendly an activity as you could ever hope to undertake. Snowmen are reusable, recyclable, biodegradable and non-toxic. Building snowmen is great exercise and a chance to get outside in the fresh air. Even if you don't have kids, if you have snow in your front yard you are obligated to build a snow man (or snow woman).
Here are a select half-dozen snowmen from Calvin and Hobbes that might inspire you to get outside and get creative in the snow. Enjoy!
