Friday marks the start of the LA Auto Show, an 10-day international event that unofficially kicks off the start of auto show season in North America. Green cars will play an important role in this year's show, with several new models set to debut, while new fuel technologies including clean diesel, electric, natural gas and hydrogen will be covered.
Among the hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles that will make an appearance at the show are The BMW X5 (clean diesel), Cadillac Escalade Hybrid, Dodge EV concept (electric), Honda Insight concept (hybrid), Jeep Wrangler EV concept (electric), Lexus RX 450h Hybrid, MINI E (electric) and the Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen TDI (clean diesel).
The show will run all through next week, including Thanksgiving Day, so once you've had your fill of turkey and yams and need to walk some of it off, head down to the Los Angeles Convention Center and wander around to see the latest and greatest in the eco-friendly automotive game.
