We talk a lot about alternative energy initiatives, but rarely go in-depth about what alternative energy is and how the various types work. Not to mention, companies and programs are constantly seeking new sources for energy. Some are fairly practical, while others make you scratch your head and wonder who could have thought of such an idea.

The topic of Energy Alternatives isn't a small one. As countries introduce new methods of reducing their greenhouse gas emissions, the need for greener, cleaner energy grows as well. New initiatives and sources of energy are constantly being explored. Over the next week we'll explore some of them in greater detail and talk about current proejcts and ideas that arround these.
