* Sweet delicious corn is in season all over North America, much of it local to a specific region. Check out your local farmers' market or find out if your supermarket is carrying the good stuff grown close to home.
* In Beijing, local fare probably differs from what you find on the menus you're used to. Seahorse anyone?
* The Baker City Herald says a crisis shouldn't be the only reason people consider becoming "locovores."
* Research shows kids who grow vegetables eat more vegetables leading schools to initiate "horticultural therapy" for students.
* Other countries need to take a page from France's book and show pride in locally-produced food, which, if you can believe, you don't have to seek out at specialty stores or markets to find.
