Lessons learned from The Happening

Posted by Pinky Bean on June 25, 2008 2:04 PM Filed Under: Recreation
Thanks to Gabriel for this story!

Perhaps, the most interesting stories heard in the media nowadays seem to be about the environment. Many and vulgarly many seems to be based on the fact that environmental-friendly-society is necessary for human beings to survive on the weak surface of the earth. The most recent art of media published the public which talks about environmental disaster is a movie The Happening. After watching the movie, I came across the fact that no matter how unrealistic and absurd the movie is the main point is that we must take care of the environment. No matter how weak and fragile the environment can be, it will always be the Mother Nature, the true mother of all things. To strive existence we must sacrifice (I’m exaggerating when i say considering 1 degree lower from your air conditioner is a sacrifice).

If you are still reading this, take these steps carefully..

1 Go to your thermostat.

2 Change your temperature by one degree depending on the season (summer :D).

Compromising these steps are the key elements of saving the environment.

Leafy Green's Tip of the Day Palm oil is in so many products it's hard to keep track: everything from face cream to pasta sauce. The problem is everytime you buy a product containing palm oil you are directly supporting the destruction of habitats for endangered species such as Sumatran tigers and orangutans. Always look for products that contain sustainable oils such as canola, sunflower or olive oil instead.
