George Carlin was certainly not one to shy away from controversial statements and ideas. In fact the late comedian, who passed away on June 22, seemed to take pleasure in saying the things others refused to say, even if it made him unpopular in certain circles.
Take for example his view on our environmental problems. On more than one occasion, Carlin indicated that he thought humans should leave the earth alone, even going on record with a famous rant titled "The Planet is Fine." That particular speech contains several instances of Carlin's sometimes colorful language, however he followed up on the topic when visiting the television show "The View" last October. Carlin even went so far as to say victims of the California's wildfires, occurring at the time, "get what's coming to them."
Controversial indeed. Watch a clip of Carlin's appearance on "The View" below and share your thoughts. Was he out of line or right on the money?
