Brad Pitt is already building eco-friendly homes in New Orleans' hurricane-ravaged Lower 9th Ward, but he isn't about to stop there in his green efforts. Pitt will also design a green hotel and resort in Dubai, where he and his partner Angelina Jolie reportedly bought a private island late last year. The five-star hotel will feature 800 rooms and Pitt will be a member of a team led by architecture firm GRAFT.
"Whilst acting is my career, architecture is my passion," Pitt said in a statement.
"Selecting this development as my first major construction project has been a simple decision," Pitt added. "It will underpin not only my values for environmentally-friendly architecture, but also embrace my career in entertainment."
Details about the resort are limited right now, but stay tuned for more information in the coming months. With 800 rooms however, the new resort may almost be big enough to house Pitt, Jolie, their four current chldren, the twins they are currently pregnant with and a partridge in a pear tree.
