With the arrival of spring and the inevitable outdoor work that comes with it, sometimes the interior of the home can get neglected. In the spirit of refreshing the indoors as well as the outdoors, here are some options for redecorating your bedroom.
- The Clean Bedroom offers COYUCHI Organic Flannel sheet sets with a 300 thread count. These sheet sets are made from 100% handpicked organic fair-trade cotton and do not use any harmful chemicals or dyes to color. They also offer matching pillow cases and duvet covers
- Down duvets are very comfortable and warm, but offer allergy issues for many people. For an alternative, Sears carries the Natura® Organic Wool-filled Duvet. It contains natural unbleached cotton and wool.
- Window treatments can really change the look and feel of a room. To compliment the rest of your green choices, JC Penny carries Kennedy bamboo panels. As we’ve mentioned before, bamboo is a great material to use because it is an easily renewable resource. The panels are made from 100% bamboo and come in two different sizes and two different colors.
- For that final touch, a new coat of paint can lend a bright look to a room but dealing with the “new paint smell” can be intolerable, especially if you’re painting your primary sleeping space. Both Sherwin-Williams and Olympic offer low or zero-VOC (volatile organic compound) paints. VOCs are organic solvents contained in paints and are responsible for the odor that lingers after painting. These new greener paints are available in a wide variety of colors at major home-improvement retailers.
