The Everyday Collection by Jo Wood Organics

Posted by Pinky Bean on April 7, 2008 6:10 AM Filed Under: Beauty

After switching to an organic diet nearly 20 years ago due to illness, former model Jo Wood (also the wife of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood) also decided to switch to organic skin care. After finding that the organic options on the market didin't offer the luxury and sophistication she desired, she decided to produce her own. The result? Jo Wood Organics, a line of bath and body products that are certified organic by ECOCERT.

The Everyday Collection includes moisturizing body cream, exfoliating salt scrub and a cleansing body mousse, all made with completely organic and natural ingredients. The Nourishing Body Cream is infused with apricot and shea butter, as well as fatty acids from Arctic billberry and antioxidants from butterfly bush. Aloe vera and butterfly bush extract allow the Body Mousse to gently cleanse without stripping your skin. The Exfoliating Salt Scrub uses salt from the Dead Sea to rid the body of dead skin cells, then moisturizes it with jojoba, apricot and rosehip oils. The line's two fragrances Tula and Langa were given Swahili and Xhosa names, inspired by Jo's passion for Africa.

Hit the jump to order the Everday Collection and to learn more about the other available organic beauty products available by Jo Wood Organics.

Leafy Green's Tip of the Day This may surprise you but tuna doesn't come from a can, it comes from the ocean! And many types of tuna are now in serious trouble due to overfishing. You can do your part by trying to cut back your tuna consumption to the occasional tuna roll or tuna sandwich. Also choose varieties like skipjack which is not threatened by overfishing.
