Last October, Hayden Panettiere took a strong stand against the slaughter of thousands of dolphins in Taiji, Japan. Then earlier this year, she decided to auction and sell some personal clothing from her very own closet to save the whales. So of course it only seems fitting that Hayden (or Master Defender of All Marine Mammals as she'll be known as from this point forward) is taking on Canadian seal-clubbers.
The actress - who FYI, is still auctioning off her clothing for the whales - has posted a link to an online petition to save the seals. She's also encouraging anyone and everyone to write a letter to the Canadian prime minister and speak out against the annual seal hunt, which takes place in Eastern Canada.
Upon review, you'll notice on Hayden's site that readers are encouraged to "Sign the pledge to boycott Canadian." We're not sure if that sentence just isn't complete and if a word is missing after 'Canadian' or if Hayden genuinely wants you to boycott Canada altogether.
Keep in mind Hayden and all seal hunt opposition, that not all Canadians support the seal hunt, so please don't shun all of your igloo-dwelling friends - just the ones with clubs in their hands.
Hit the jump to get a glimpse of Hayden's closet and to sign the petition.
