It pays to be on Hollywood's A-list green list, this time in the form of free coffee. In honor of Earth Day on April 22, Distinctive Assets will be sending the who's who of Tinseltown environmentalists a gift basket containing Sanani coffee, also known as the original mocha coffee.
The "Earth Day in Hollywood" basket is intended to educate the rich and famous on the cultivation process used in this coffee, which does not contain any pesticides. The all-natural mocha beans are grown in the Bani Mattar region of Yemen.
“Coffee grown in soil that has never been touched with harmful chemicals is exactly the type of product we want included in our Earth Day in Hollywood celebrity gift bag,” said Lash Fary, Founder of Distinctive Assets “Because it’s naturally organic, it has the type of distinctive flavor that celebrities will appreciate.”
Sanani coffee has already been named the official coffee of Lazzara Yachts and made its Hollywood debut with Becker Automotive, a custom limo designer, that included a box of with every limo delivery. The coffee was also given to celebrities once this year as part of the "Everybody Wins at the Oscars" promotion.
Tariq Ausaf, the CEO of Sanani Coffee Company, believes the product allows consumers to enjoy a great cup of coffee knowing it was not produced using methods that are harmful to the earth.
“The fact that this is the same coffee prized by Rousseau, Voltaire and other notables is enough to stir serious interest, but I also wanted a coffee that was grown using environmentally-friendly techniques,” Ausaf explained. “While it’s important to provide a superior product, we also need to have a positive impact on our planet.”
The coffee may be grown using organic methods, but being shipped to the U.S. from Yemen may negate some of its earth-friendly properties. Drinking coffee like the elite do will cost you - a 8.8 ounce (250g) box of Sanani will set you back $24. Meanwhile, maybe Sanani or Distinctive Assets will get the sudden urge to share the love with their favorite pink, coffee-guzzling writer (who is neither rich, nor famous).
