Riding your bike is never more enjoyable than early in the spring. You may have been riding all winter through rain or snow or maybe you’ve left your bike hung-up in the garage waiting for the snow to melt. Either way, there isn’t anything like those first few rides in the spring when the sun actually warms your skin and the air starts to smell fresh again.
Spring is also a great time to give your bike a quick tune up by shaking off the dust or cleaning off the grease and grime from winter roads. I ride my bike all year but when it comes to bike maintenance I’m a bit lazy and not so handy. I found a great set of videos on BicycleTutor.com to help me out. Over the past week I’ve followed a few easy videos and my bicycle is running smooth as silk again.
The Bicycle Tutor has some basic tutorial videos such as cleaning and lubing your chain and why not to use WD-40 to more advanced tips like how to true a wheel.
