The following response is from an Ecollo reader named Chris and is in reference to Leafy Green's post in early April regarding Al Gore's recent slideshow that revealed new information about Big Al's favorite topic of global warming. Chris has some suggestions for Gore regarding the language he uses in his presentation and in his documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth," plus he offers his thoughts on a solution to curbing climate change.
Al Gore's presentation in the video clip would benefit from some Cheats in speech writing. He would become even more effective in clarifying his overall goal to reach the largest number of people and focus their attention on many vital, yet complex issues.
He needs more catch phrases for each area he wishes to emphasize. For example, when defining optimism he might have ended that subject with a catch phrase ghat people could take with them, like "Only a Pessimist can afford to be an Optimist." Like a sort of bumper sticker to focus on.
Part 2 of my story is that it is remarkable how little is said about 'Aquaponics' in particular with reference to the farming of the worlds first life form 'Spirulina Platensis,' a blue-green microalgae. This is the stuff that created oxygen out of sulphur on the planet in the first place. From what I have gathered so far it thrives on solar heat and it is at the top of the nutrition chart. It can be cheaply grown, produces oxygen and doubles in size every day. Thats a lot faster then trees. If cultivated properly it can reverse desertification. It has been referred to as 'Mana.'
Part 3: If as I suspect Al Gore and well-meaning websites like yourselves have teams of science investigators, I would urge You and them to spend some well spent time on the opportunities for many answers to global warming and population growth (starvation growth).
While none of us in Ecollo-land can claim to be aquaponics experts, it sure sounds interesting and is something we'll definitely take a closer look at. A big thanks to Chris for sharing his ideas with us and for providing one of his paintings entitled Firecity for us to include with his article.
