Minnie Driver Gets Hip, Gets Green

Posted by Pinky Bean on March 18, 2008 2:59 AM Filed Under: Shopping

Minnie Driver was spotted out and about running errands this weekend, which included shopping for groceries while carrying her Get Hip Get Green reusable tote bag. The actress recently announced to Jay Leno that she is with child and appears to be finding ways to preserve the environment her little one will grow up in.

The Get Gip Get Green bags are 100 per cent recyclable, non-toxic and made from recycled non-woven polypropolene. Each bag can carry the equivalent amount of three to four plastic shopping bags or two paper bags, with five of the bags able to hold the contents of a full grocery cart. Designer Lisa Leija even thought to put a removable stiffener in the bottom to keep bags from toppling over when standing upright.

There are three different designs you can choose from, including the one Minnie uses, and for every sale, Lisa makes a donation to The Green Ambassadors, an environmental group for children.  And even though a celebrity carries these, you won't have to sell vital organs just to afford your own; five bags will only set you back $25!

Hit the jump to visit Get Hip, Get Green and order your own.
