Bindi Irwin, daughter of the infamous late Croc Hunter Steve Irwin, has her own 26-part wildlife documentary, doll, fitness DVD and album. Now she's launched Bindi Wear International, her own eco-friendly clothing line, featuring over 100 items that have at least one green aspect attached to each of them. T-shirts carry environmental slogans that Bindi came up with herself including "Tigers should be loved, not rugs" and "Extinct Stinks!" The line also utlizes recycled material whenever possible. Now Bindi is telling Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama to move over and make some room for her.
"Hopefully maybe I can be president or prime minister," she joked. "In America they are looking for the next president and I've listened to everybody and, nothing against them, but they are talking about jobs, houses, developments, money, money and more money and there is nothing about conservation. I haven't heard anything about that. We really do need to start doing something - we can't eat money in the long run."
Oh and just for the record Bindi is nine-years old. While some kids are still learning to master the art of forming the perfect spitball, Bindi is designing clothing and recording during any spare time she has, which isn't much for the world's busiest pre-teen. It's kind of scary to think she's already demonstrating more intelligence and awareness than other public figures more than twice her age. Paris? Britney? Lindsay? Are you taking notes?
