The natural way to shine your shoes

Posted by Pinky Bean on February 16, 2008 7:05 PM Filed Under: Video

Have you ever been running late for a job interview or an all-important meeting every vice-president in the company is scheduled attend only to notice your shoes or dress boots are seriously dull and scuffed? Instead of releasing the chemicals and stench of messy shoe polish, grab a banana and a clean cloth and get to work! That's right, apparently the natural oils in banana peels are effective at buffing your leather shoes and making them appear almost brand-new again.

This video is totally worth watching just for the comical facial expressions of the sap that was convinced to do the demonstration. If the banana-turned-shoe-polish fails to impress you, this poor guy should give you a good Saturday evening chuckle at the very least. Let's just say I don't see an Academy Award for his convincing and moving portrayal of Hamlet anywhere in his near future.

If you buy fresh foods regularly you'll find you can come to rely less on keeping your foodstuffs on ice for weeks on end.
