It's Friday afternoon at Ecollo and while talking with Leafy Green, I realized we haven't posted your weekly fix of cute animals. And today must be extra special, because not only are these cats cute, they're in costume too. They also seem to be acutely aware that they're being photographed because I've never seen a cat sit still for longer than four seconds. These kitties actually pose!

Given that I don't speak Japanese, I wasn't sure entirely sure what they were trying to (literally) say in the video clip below, however Leafy informed me that “Nekonabe” is Japanese for taking photos of overweight cats in containers wearing appropriately themed costumes.

What was abundantly clear is that with mere hours to go until the weekend, this is a great kick-off to some well-deserved down time. Happy Friday everyone!
