If you're palms are starting to sweat over fear of the tantrum sure to come if you arrive home empty-handed on Valentine's Day, take five minutes to make this easy heart-shaped chocolate holder. The only supply you may have trouble locating in your office is ribbon, however that piece is negotiable. Even better, you can grab some paper from the recycling bin and use that if you don't have colored paper available, but be sure to print off a heart and attach it for at least some decoration if you only have plain paper available. Stop by your local 7-11 or any other convenience store you pass on your way home from work and fill it with your sweetheart's favorite chocolate.
Voila, you've gone from thoughtless to thoughtful in five minutes or less. It may look cheap (it is!), but be sure to play the handmade-and-therefore-meaningful card and you're sure to score some points for creativity.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Step 1 - Materials
The materials you will need are things you should have lying around the house.
-velom (normal white printer paper will work fine aswell)
-tape
-ribbon
-scissors
-holepunch (not in picture)
Step 2 - Folding
The first thing you must do is make the paper square. I find the fastest way to do this is to take the top right corner and fold it down to the left side makind both edges flush.
If you used the method above make 1 more fold from top left corner to bottom right corner making an "X" on the page. If you already had a square page make 2 folds creating an "X" also.
Next flip the page over make 2 more folds frome side-to-side and top-to-bottom.
