Green Valentines' greetings by Girly Whirly

Posted by Pinky Bean on February 2, 2008 5:51 PM Filed Under: Gifts, Life

Don't just buy a regular old card for your sweetheart this Valentine's Day, check out the Love card collection from Girly Whirly instead. Girly Whirly originated after the company founder sent homemade cards to all of her acquaintances one Christmas. The feedback was so positive, at the request of family and friends, she began to design invitations for baby showers and surprise birthday parties and thus a livelihood was born.

All of the greeting cards produced by Girly Whirly reflect a committment to preserve the environment. Every single card sold contains recycled material and as much post-consumer waste as possible. There's even a handy guide on the site showing customers the paper content of each card. All printing is done at an eco-friendly company and uses soy ink in production. Matching envelopes are available when possible, and alternative envelopes in a coordinating color or white are offered when a perfect match is not available. If you want to creatively express your love, custom designs are offered, as well as discounts for higher volume purchases.

Even better, the designs are simple, unique and absolutely adorable. You could give these cards to anyone on your list, be it your significant other, your mom or your friends,

Visit the Girly Whirly site to view the love collection and place an order for your cards in time for the big day!

Leafy Green's Tip of the Day Palm oil is in so many products it's hard to keep track: everything from face cream to pasta sauce. The problem is everytime you buy a product containing palm oil you are directly supporting the destruction of habitats for endangered species such as Sumatran tigers and orangutans. Always look for products that contain sustainable oils such as canola, sunflower or olive oil instead.
