Get a warm glow despite the lack of sun

Posted by Pinky Bean on February 7, 2008 6:08 AM Filed Under: Beauty

Hang on for just a couple more weeks (or months depending where you live), spring is just around the corner. However, if you're tired of looking in the mirror every morning and seeing a pale reflection staring back at you, try the Warmth All-Over Face Color by Bare Escentuals for an instant pick-me-up.

I've tried a lot (a lot) of bronzers over the past few years. Some have been better than others, but more often than not I look like an oompa loompa extra on the set of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I was skeptical when I first tried the All-Over Face Color a couple of weeks ago because it looked darker than what I was used to. However, I bit the bullet, dipped my Flawless Application Brush into the small amount I'd sprinkled into the lid and used the swirl-tap-buff application process. Hint: don't be too heavy-handed when 'buffing' or it will look unnaturally dark.

The result: a nice, healthy, natural-looking glow. My skin is the palest right now it's been in years as I've admittedly shunned sunscreen in summers past (shame on me, I know). I fully expected a bronzer to be way too dark, but was thrilled when I saw how well it blended in with my blush and how warm and alive I looked after months of empathizing with Casper. If you've been turned off by bad bronzer experiences in the past, take the plunge and give this one a shot. You may never be tempted to expose your unprotected face to the sun again.
