I love it when I look at a product label and recnognize every ingredient on the list. No weird chemical names that even scientists can barely pronounce, no guesswork involved in trying to figure out what exactly pentasodium pentetate is, and more importantly, what it does. I can't honestly tell you that every product I use is organic or all-natural, but I can promise I'm making an effort to replace some of my long-time staples with products that use less chemicals and additives.
If you're like me, you'll be thrilled to meet Dr. Bronner, or at least his soaps anyway. Every single one of them is certified by the USDA National Organic Program and contain some familiar-sounding ingredients: organic hemp oil, organic coconut, palm and olive oils and vitamine E. See, nothing scary about that is there? The soaps come in both bar and liquid formm and are available in your classic scents (lavender, almond) and the more distinct (eucalyptus, rose). There's also an unscented option for those with allergies that is also safe for use on babies.
The eco responsibiity doesn't end there: last year the company introduced their Fair Trade program and all soap packaging is made from recycled material, including 100$ Post-Consumer Recycled PET plastc and post-consumer recycled paper.
