Move over Flake, you have a new baby animal to share the spotlight with. The London Zoo welcomed a new member last month, though they only revealed the news and photos recently. Zookeepers have not yet been able to identify whether Vale, a red titi monkey, is a male or female but they still wanted to name the tiny animal in time for Valentine's Day.
Vale's mother Yara was the first animal to give birth in the zoo's new rainforest biome and Vale spent the first couple of weeks clinging to the back of its father Thiago.
Zoological director David Field said: "This birth proves that Clore Rainforest Lookout really is a great enclosure for the animals, allowing them to behave and breed naturally. We are all delighted to see Vale zipping around the indoor forest on Thiago's back."
