If you've taken the opportunity to clean your furnace and start shopping for organic produce, now's the ideal time to keep moving ahead with your green resolutions and get your home ready for 2008 by reycling the things you can't re-use.
Green: Consign or donate any clothing you probably won't wear again. Many charities accept donations of clothing, so find out which organizations in your community could make use of the things that are creating clutter in your closet.
Greener: Revitalize your wardrobe by arranging to trade unwanted items from from closet with friends. You'll get rid of the things that have been sitting there untouched since last winter and have a few new pieces to add some variety to your usual favorites.
Green: Make recycling a priority in your home by setting up a system to sort out your recyclables. Take it to your community's nearest recycling facility or if you're just too busy/lazy, pay to have it picked up.
Greener: Start composting in your backyard. Hit the jump to check out a former Ecollo post with a video tutorial by Ed Begley Jr. showing you how to get started.
