In America kids want shoes, stylish shoes, to look cool at school. In Africa kids want shoes, sturdy shoes, to be able to go to school.
The Campaign for Female Education provides shoes to young girls in Africa. These shoes protect their feet from scorching roads on long walks to and from school, protects them from diseases like hookworm, and gives them confidence and a sense of pride.
Not only does CAMFED provide shoes to student, but they support the local economy by buying local whenever possible.
Safety. Dignity. Confidence. An education. For just $14 you can give all of those things to a young girl in Africa just by giving her a good pair of shoes to walk in.
