Unlike some of the "Sexy Santa" type things we've posted on here recently, these ideas are actually not bad! The original article claimed it had 11 tips, but it turned out the 11th one was just for a gift certificate to an eco-friendly store, which doesn't really count.
1. Your marriage license or vows tastefully mounted in a salvaged wood picture frame. An eco-friendly, romantic way to say "I love you" at Christmas.
2. Chic recycled rings, bracelets or necklaces made from bottle caps or recycled metal parts. Jewelry is often an appropriate romantic Christmas gift for lovers - especially eco-friendly jewelry.
3. Vintage sapphires, rubies, diamonds or emeralds in their original, polished settings. Antiques are great eco-friendly romantic Christmas gifts.
4. Unique, eco-friendly purses made from candy wrappers or recycled plastic bags. Beautiful accessories (handbags, backpacks, etc) are made from recycled items, and are fabulous green Christmas gifts.
5. Love notes or poems on biodegradable seed paper, which blooms when planted. It's an eco-friendly romantic Christmas gift that will symbolize your love in the spring.
6. Organic, fair trade gourmet chocolate bonbons are eco-friendly Christmas gifts that are practically good for you.
7. Edible massage oil or natural lubricants (green Christmas gifts can be very sensual).
8. Soy or beeswax candles that set the mood and offer toxin-free air. These eco-friendly gifts can make it a sensual green Christmas for both of you.
9. Organic cotton or hemp lingerie, thongs, camisoles or underwear. Spice up your love life with romantic, eco-friendly Christmas gifts!
10. Organic or hemp pillowcases or sheets; or splurge with an eco-friendly bed set and mattresses. Eco-friendly bedding may increase sleep quality throughout the year, making it more than a green Christmas gift.
I'm sure there's a few eco-friendly newlyweds out there who just got some great ideas for how they'll be spending their Christmas Eve. Ho! Ho! Ho! (hehehe)
