You read the headline right: Wal-Mart.

From bassinets made from sustainable New Zealand timber to organic snugglies, biodegradable diaper liners and reusable diapers, Wal-Mart may actually be the first place you should look for eco-friendly baby items.  They even stock a half-dozen Energy Star compliant baby monitors!

Let's face it, boutiques stores are great for specialty items but they do tend to be too pricey for most of us.  With backing from a mega-store like Wal-Mart, perhaps eco-friendly baby products will quickly move from "specialty" to "mainstream".
