Jack Bauer offers his insight into the great Christmas tree debate

Posted by Pinky Bean on November 30, 2007 7:17 AM Filed Under: Humour

Okay, I must admit this must really be Kiefer Sutherland in the video below. It can’t possibly be Jack Bauer. The Jack I know and have grown to love would never attack a Christmas tree. Unless said tree was involved in some sort of plot for world domination. Or maybe it contained some type of explosive. Heroically throwing his body on top of a ticking bomb, shielding all who were in the room with him sounds like something Jack would do.

Since neither of the aforementioned scenarios appears to be the case here, I’m forced to examine the recent debate over real versus artificial Christmas trees and determine the statement Kiefer is trying to make by tackling that particular tree. After carefully considering evidence that indicates real trees are the eco friendly way to go, I can only deduce that based on recent green initiatives by his hit show “24,” and his accompanying public service announcement regarding global warming, Kiefer is so opposed to artificial trees, the mere sight of this one disgusted him to the point of taking drastic and immediate action. But that's just my take on the situation. What do you think Kiefer is trying to tell us?

Leafy Green's Tip of the Day Palm oil is in so many products it's hard to keep track: everything from face cream to pasta sauce. The problem is everytime you buy a product containing palm oil you are directly supporting the destruction of habitats for endangered species such as Sumatran tigers and orangutans. Always look for products that contain sustainable oils such as canola, sunflower or olive oil instead.
