Are you tormenting yourself over what to buy your loved ones this year, mentally making lists of ideas and checking off names while trying to focus on work (which you apparently need to do to afford the fabulous gifts you are planning to purchase)? The silver lining is that you can eliminate one concern because buying an eco-friendly Christmas gift doesn’t have to be a tedious task. You can do something as simple as ensuring the packaging of a gift isn’t excessive or shopping at environmentally friendly retailers. If you want to take it a step further, try choosing gifts that are composed of completely natural materials or research the environmental implications of the material a gift is made from.
You can choose how far you want to take green gift-giving. If even half of the millions upon millions of people participating in holiday festivities employ some eco-friendly initiatives this season, what may seem like a small or insignificant contribution could have a huge global impact.
