So you’ve found the perfect sweater for mom, a Nintendo Wii/diamond pendant for your significant other, but there’s still another name on your list. What is one to get that special someone/something? I’m of course referring to your beloved, furry-faced (or in some cases, hairless) friend.
I realize there are some who think buying a gift for your pet is a little indulgent. After all, they aren’t cognizant of the meaning of Christmas. However, I equate it to having a baby. A baby probably doesn’t have the capacity to appreciate the season, but it doesn’t stop most people from lavishing gifts upon him/her. This is the time of year where you don’t have to feel guilty about spoiling your pet; they are likely an integral part of your family, so why not make them feel loved?
Over the next week, I will offer a different suggestion (or suggestions) every day as you navigate the process of choosing the perfect gift for your pet.
Dog-owners can surely vouch that most canines don’t turn up their nose at a treat. However, as we discussed in our pet obesity series last week, it is important to ensure the treats are healthy and offer some nutritional value to your dog. Natura offers a vast array of different treat options made only from whole ingredients. The Innova Health Bars come in both small and large sizes, are packed with ingredients from the five food groups and baked at a low temperature to conserve nutrients. For a dessert option, try the Mother Nature Carrot Cakes Recipe, made with fresh carrots, real butter and milk and a touch of molasses. For the dog on a strict diet, Evo Dog Treats are high protein and low carbohydrate, and contain no grains. Instead they are full of turkey and chicken, tissue, cartilage, fat and bone, with whole fruits and vegetables to balance the nutrients.
Visit Natura’s site to explore even more treat options that you can feel good about feeding to your four-legged pal.
