Two things are on the rise: gas prices and our awareness about the environment. If you're looking to buy a new 2008 vehicle and you don't have the budget for a hybrid there are several great options in 2008, just don't expect to buy domestic.
• Honda Fit - 33/38 miles per gallon
• Toyota Yaris - 34/40 miles per gallon
• Nissan Versa - 30/36 miles per gallon
• Mini - 32/40 miles per gallon
• Smart FourTwo - 40 miles per gallon (no word on whether that is city or highway)
