Even the packaging is environmentally friendly at Jim's Organic Coffee

Posted by Leafy Green on September 20, 2007 2:41 PM Filed Under: Food

Jim's Organic Coffee, a 100% organic coffee roaster, has unveiled a redesigned package that holds the same interesting, amazing coffee their customers have come to expect, in an updated design that is bolder, fresher and the first to be environmentally friendly too!

Jim's Organic Coffee

"This is the first generation of sealed coffee bags to be made from renewable resources and we are delighted to be the first roaster to use them. After 15 years in this business, I feel that we finally have a bag that tells the organic coffee story in a simple way and offers consumers the transparency they are looking for. We have accomplished this without changing the overall look and feel of our festive bag that is associated with our consistently amazing coffee, without losing the fun edge and without being 'preachy' about the cool things we do to help farmers and our ecosystem," Jim Cannell says.

Leafy Green's Tip of the Day Pressure cookers use 50 - 75% less energy than cooking in a normal saucepan, plus they cook food faster! Pressure cookers used to be really popular in the 70's and 80's for their convenience, but were quickly replaced by the microwave. Maybe it's time to bring this ultra-efficient cooking method back into fashion?
